Its sheer functionality, connectivity and accessibility make the Internet an information force to be reckoned with. This report is a piece of research into how journalists and other media workers are actually using this resource. Using largely unstructured interviewing techniques, more than 300 journalists and media librarians were surveyed. The findings are relevant to those working in information-intensive sectors. Issues examined include: information overload; the authority of Internet sources; and changes in working practices as a result of Internet use.
