Border Gold takes place in the
contemporary southwestern United Statesand centers around a newly retired Border Patrol Agent who loves to spend his
spare time in the wild and quiet places of the southwest desertThat quiet however, is suddenly
shattered by heavily armed, well-organized drug smugglers who ruthlessly kill
anyone who would pose a threat to their operation
The intent of this book is to
give one a real feel for what it's like to "Ride The River" with the
U.S. Border Patrol.Upon finishing the
book the reader will have gained much insight into Border Patrol operations as
well as the terminology used by Agents in the field.
Many of the occurrences in this
book are true with the names and locations changed only slightly, since their
personalities are reflected in the writing.

Finally, the locations are very
real as are the "quiet places" mentioned in the text.If you, per chance, follow &quotsouth
you will find many of the places mentioned throughout the book. But do so at your own peril and take plenty
of water for the dangers that existed for travelers hundreds of years ago still
exist there today
